Sugarbush is located north of Utica in central New York, at the base of the Adirondack mountains, in the small quaint village of Barneveld, where Native Americans once lived in harmony with nature.

Sugarbush Bed & Breakfast opened its doors in 1990. It was designed and built in 1805 as a colonial home constructed as a boys school, headed by Rev. John Sherman. Rev. John Sherman was a Unitarian minister in Barneveld. The house is situated on 8 acres of beautiful rolling lawns with a trout pound, a small playground for children, and a volleyball court. The grounds are spotted with many apple and pear trees along with giant evergreens and towering maples. Several very old oak trees grace the grounds as well.

Some of the additional amenities offered: afternoon tea and cookies, alcoholic beverages available for purchase. All rooms have bathrobes, hair dryers, Caswell-Massey soap, shampoo and cream rinse. Sugarbush Bed and Breakfast also has exercise equipment for that anytime workout.

Sugarbush Bed & Breakfast is Approved, Certified and a member of Mobil Travel Guide, American Bed & Breakfast Association (ABBA) and the Bed & Breakfast Leather Stocking Association; each of which requires a regular and thorough inspection to assure compliance with the highest standards for safety, cleanliness and hospitality.

Directions: 10 miles north of Utica, NY off the New York State Thruway at exit 31. From the Thruway go north on Rt. 12 for about 10 miles and then turn right on Old Poland Road after turning right Sugarbush is on the right. The Bed & Breakfast is five to ten minutes to beaches and 10 minutes in any direction to spectacular shopping.
