The Lake House, located on scenic Canadarago Lake, only a short 12 miles from Cooperstown, is a tranquil and relaxing place. Built in 1843, it is one of the oldest continually operating establishments in the Cooperstown area. With splendid lake views, an expansive lawn and shore line, park benches and more, the deck is the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail before dinner, read a book or sip your morning coffee.Our Bed and Breakfast has been operating Continuously Since 1843.All rooms have private baths with showers. Room rates are from $75.00 to $140.00 for a two room suite with queen-size sleeper sofa. We are very affordable! A full breakfast served lake side compliments your stay.
Directions: From the NYS Thruway-RTE. 90: We are 12 miles south of the NYS Thruway. Take the Herkimer exit and follow Rte. 28 south to Rte.20 in Richfield Springs. Turn left onto Rte. 20. At the traffic light in the center of the village, turn right. The Lake House is one mile on the right on the lake. From Cooperstown: There are two easy ways to reach the Lake House. The easiest is follow Rte. 28 north until you reach Schuyler Lake. In Schuyler Lake, bear right just after the gas station/convenience store onto County Highway 22. We are four miles on the left on the lake. The more scenic route is along the shores of Otsego Lake along Rte. 80 east, you will pass the Otesaga golf course, Farmer’s Museum, the Fenimore Art Museum and the Glimmerglass Opera House. At the intersection of Rtes. 20 and So, take a left onto Rte. 20 west. Follow to the village of Richfield Springs, turn left at the traffic light. The Lake House is one mile on the right on the lake.
